India’s Retail Inflation Eases To 4.85% In March

According to government data released on April 12, 2024, retail inflation dropped to a 10-month low of 4.85% in March from February’s 5.09%. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a decline to 4.91%. The rate remains within the RBI’s 2-6% tolerance range. Inflation rose by 0.16% from the previous month’s decrease of -0.11%.
