Srinagar: A migrant laborer from Bihar was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipore, the police said on Friday.
The attack occurred around midnight in the Ajas area of Bandipore district. After being shot, Mohammad Amrez, a local of Bihar’s Madhepura, was referred to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
“During the intervening night, terrorists fired upon & injured one migrant laborer Mohd Amrez, r/o Madhepura, Besarh, Bihar at Soadnara Sumbal, Bandipora. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed,” Kashmir Zone police read.

The targeted killing of the migrant labor comes a day after four members of the armed forces were killed in action and two others injured in an attack on an army camp in Rajouri district.

A spokesperson of the army on Thursday said, “Army chief General Manoj Pande and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of the soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty in Rajouri and offer deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” an army spokesperson’s tweet read.
Earlier, Last week, Mohammad Mumtaz, a migrant worker from Bihar, was killed and two others were injured during a terrorist attack in Pulwama.
