Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal decided to forgo his appearance before the Enforcement Directorate, citing the repeated summonses in the liquor policy case as illegitimate. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the agency of attempting to arrest him and claimed it was part of a larger political agenda. The party called the summons “Modi ji’s aim is to arrest Kejriwal” and added the Prime Minister “wants to topple the Delhi government by arresting him”.
