MTHL Inauguration: Now There Is No More Talk Of Scams Unlike Past But Of Completion Of Mega Projects In A Given Timeframe, Modi Sea Link Is A Glimpse Of Developed India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after dedicating the 21.8 km Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) Atal Setu to the Nation on Friday, targeted Congress and opposition parties over the talk of corruption and delays in the completion of a slew of projects in the past. However, projects like MTHL are being completed within the given time frame and without any controversy or irregularities.

Modi referred to the Bandra Worli Sea Link inaugurated by the Congress-led UPA government, saying, “Earlier there was talk of mega scams worth thousands and lakhs of rupees, but now there are talks of the completion of projects worth thousands of crores of rupees by a given deadline.

“This concept of good governance is visible all over the country. Bridges like the Atal Tunnel and Chenab River Bridge were discussed. There is talk of highways being constructed one after the other. The Eastern and Western Corridors are image changers for railways. Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat, and Amrit Bharat trains are making life easier for the common man. Today, new airports are being opened in every corner of the country. Many mega projects are being completed in Maharashtra too,” Modi said. He added, “Taxpayers’ money is being used for development. However, those who ruled the country for more than a decade did not consider the country’s money and the taxpayers’ money. Their projects were not completed or were completed late.”

“India has changed in the last 10 years. This was discussed a lot. The picture of a changing India becomes clearer when one remembers the India of 10 years ago,” he opined.

“Atal Setu is a picture of developed India, a glimpse of developed India. In developed India, there will be speed and progress. In a developed India, the gap will be reduced, and every corner of the country will be connected. All will continue smoothly and without any obstacles,” said Modi.

“In 2014, I was given the responsibility of elections. Before that, I went to Raigad Fort. I was sitting near the tomb of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for a few moments. It has been 10 years. In these 10 years, we have seen our dreams come true. Atal Setu is a reflection of this spirit. Young people have come up with new beliefs. The road to their bright future passes through roads like Atal Setu. Atal Setu is a picture glimpse of developed India,” said Modi.
