Elon Musk

17,502,391 voted in the poll, out of which 42.5% voted as Elon Musk should stay as Twitter CEO and the rest voted for him to step down.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Monday launched a poll on the micro-blogging website asking whether he should step down as Twitter CEO or should he stay.

17,502,391 voted in the poll, out of which 42.5% voted as Elon Musk should stay as Twitter CEO and the rest voted for him to step down.

In his tweet Elon Musk pledged to abide by the results. Soon after the results were out NCP leader┬а Jayant Patil Tweeted responding to the space x founder’s tweet taking a jibe at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Karnataka CM Basavraj Bommai.

In his tweet, he referred to the tweet allegedly tweeted by Mr. Bommai in which he had said that villages from Satara wish to be part of Karnataka, and days later he claimed that the handle was fake. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had also said that: “At the meeting, the Karnataka CM claimed he had not made any tweet which will hurt anyoneтАЩs sentiments. He said someone is using a fake Twitter handle in his name and that he has ordered action against such persons.тАЭ

Interestingly, the clarification came after both the leaders had a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah.

“The Chief Ministers of both Karnataka and Maharashtra state that he did not tweet the Karnataka Chief Minister. @elonmusk, before you step down from the top position of the head of Twitter, please give the verdict, who exactly did this tweet?” Mr Patil tweeted taking a dig.

Meanwhile, Security has been beefed up across the Belagavi city as the winter session of the Karnataka Legislature started today.

Amid fear over the border row with neighboring Maharashtra and disruption due to protests by various communities, the entire city resembles a cantonment of sorts.
