Indian playback singer Uma Ramanan, known for her Tamil film songs, passed away at 72. Survived by husband AV Ramanan and son Vignesh, she had a prolific career spanning 35 years and over 6,000 concerts. Her collaboration with Ilaiyaraaja, notably “Poongathave Thaal Thiravai” from ‘Nizhalgal,’ garnered widespread acclaim.
