The BJP Patriarch met his mother, who was born on June 18, 1923, turned 100 today.
New Delhi: It is an auspicious day for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as meek celebrations went across at his mother’s residence in Gujarat.
Heeraben Modi, born on 18th of June, hundred years back, celebrated the auspicious event in the presence of her son Narendra Modi. The PM who visited his mother at her Gandhinagar Residence in Gujarat expressed the elation on twitter saying
“Maa…this isn’t a mere word but it captures a range of emotions. Today, 18th June is the day my Mother Heeraba enters her 100th year. On this special day, I have penned a few thoughts expressing joy and gratitude,”.
“Today, I feel extremely happy and fortunate to share that my mother Smt. Heeraba is entering her hundredth year. This is going to be her birth centenary year. If my father had been alive, he too would have celebrated his 100th birthday last week. 2022 is a special year as my mother’s centenary year is starting, and my father would have completed his,” the PM added in his heart-felt letter celebrating the special event.
PM Modi who is in hometown Gujarat, ahead of the state elections to be held December this year added that he would be seeking blessings at the Pavagadh shrine followed by him addressing the BJP rally in Vadodara.
The family has scheduled a community meal at the Jagannath Temple. Ahmedabad followed by several religious programs that have been planned to mark the special day.
Heeraben Modi presently lives with her younger son Pankaj Modi in Gandhinagar’s Raysan village.
