On social media, a video of a sub-inspector in Kerala valiantly battling and defeating a man brandishing a massive blade has gone viral. The Director-General of Police (DGP) praised the sub-inspector, Arun Kumar, for taking prompt action after the video went viral.

The Kerala state police agency honored him on Monday. He received a certificate of recognition from the DGP, Anil Kant.

According to Arun Kumar, he was on patrol when the incident happened.

The accused had previously been the subject of a complaint, and Kumar had issued a warning to him. Later, the defendant used a machete to strike Kumar. However, Kumar swiftly outmatched him and later took him into custody. The accused’s weapon has also been taken into custody.
