Priyanka Chaturvedi Slams Maharashtra Government For Calling Hindi A ‘National Language’

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government issued a Government Resolution (GR) on Monday appealing to reinstate Maharashtra state Hindi Literature Academy. In the first line of the Government Resolution they have termed Hindi as the national language. On this, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi Priyanka Chaturvedi, launched a scathing attack on the Maharashtra government.

Priyanka Chaturvedi slammed the state government for terming Hindi as the national language in the government resolution. She said it seems like the Maharashtra state government resolutions are dictated from Delhi.

Taking to Twitter, she tweeted, “Looks like the Maharashtra state GRs are now dictated from Delhi and issued verbatim. Hello, Maharashtra government, Hindi is India’s official language as much as Marathi is. Hindi is not a national language.”

Notably, Hindi is one of India’s two official languages, along with English.
