Rahul Gandhi Files Nomination Papers From Kerala’s Wayanad Seat

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi officially filed his nomination papers to run from the Wayanad constituency in Kerala. He was accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi and other party leaders, including AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, as he submitted his nomination papers to the Wayanad District Collector.

Before completing the paperwork, Rahul Gandhi took an oath to uphold the Constitution, which is a standard part of the nomination process. Rahul Gandhi arrived in Wayanad by helicopter in the morning and then led a rally from Kalpetta to the Civil Station before heading to the District Collector’s office.

During the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi addressed the public, expressing his solidarity with the people of Wayanad on various issues, particularly human-animal conflicts, which have claimed many lives in the high-range district of the state. He received 7,06,367 votes, while his closest rival, PP Suneer of the CPI, received only 2,74,597 votes.
