Congress leader Rahul Gandhi secured bail from a special court in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The hearing was held on Tuesday in a 2018 defamation case. The charges arose from remarks during a Bengaluru press conference where he referred to Union Home Minister Amit Shah as a murder accused. Gandhi, maintaining innocence, posted bail of Rs 25,000 and a personal bond of the same amount.
