“We Are Upset With NCP And Congress, Not Uddhav Thackeray,” Says Rebel Minister

Shiv Sena

Earlier today, the Shiv Sena MLAs who had revolted against the party flew on a chartered flight to Guwahati.

Mumbai: According to the Press Trust of India (PTI), The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress, the other two members of the state’s ruling alliance, have also been criticized for their methods of operation by a Maharashtra minister from Shiv Sena, who is one of of the dissidents led by party leader Eknath Shinde.

The Shiv Sena MLAs arrived in Guwahati, Assam, on a chartered jet on Wednesday. The Shiv Sena MLAs have rebelled against the party, throwing the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra into a crisis.

Sandipan Bhumare, a minister from Maharashtra and one of the rebels, told a TV channel over the phone, “We do not have any grievances about the Shiv Sena leadership. We complained to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray about how it was becoming more and more difficult to deal with NCP and Congress ministers. It was quite challenging for us to obtain their ministers to approve our plans and task demands.”

Mr. Bhumare responded to a question by saying he was given a cabinet portfolio and was happy with it. “What else do I need in life. But, as a people’s representative, I need to address the grievances of my people. I could not do it properly because of these two alliance partner,” he continued.

35 party lawmakers were reportedly present in Guwahati, according to Sanjay Shirsath, another dissident Sena MLA, as reported by PTI.

“By this evening, a few more MLAs will join us. Three independent MLAs have also backed us,” he added. Additionally, Mr. Shirsath singled out state NCP and Congress ministers, alleging that their “hostile behaviour” prompted the Sena lawmakers to rebel.
