Besides, On the eve of the Republic Day celebrations, security arrangements across Jammu and Kashmir have been beefed up to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the event.

India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day tomorrow. Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950.The Republic Day Parade will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, with gates opening at 7 a.m. and closing at 9 a.m. President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will arrive at Kartavya Path and will  lead the Republic Day celebrations.

The parade will commence after  Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays a wreath at the National War Memorial as a mark of respect. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who arrived in India on Thursday, will be the chief guest at the Republic Day event. This is his first state visit to India. Mr Subianto will also lead an Indonesian contingent as part of the celebrations and attend the parade.

Around 10,000 Special Guests in 34 categories, including the Sarpanches from villages excelling in key government schemes, have been invited as Special Guests.

Like every year, tableaux from various states will be displayed at the Kartvya Path.  With the broad theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’, tableaux of 16 States/Union Territories (UTs) and 10 Ministries/Departments of the Union Government will be showcased.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Defence, for the first time, cultural performances by 5,000 artists will cover the entire Kartavya Path. The press release further read for the first time a Tri-services tableau will roll down on Kartavya Path, displaying the spirit of jointness and integration.

Meanwhile, if we speak about the security arrangements, reports suggest, Over 70 units of paramilitary forces and more than 15,000 police personnel have been deployed across the national Capital.
