Republican Sena Chief Anandraj Ambedkar Joins Save Aarey Protest

The save Aarey activist further said, “Attempts to suppress the truth and democracy are in process, the land mafia is very powerful.” 

Republican Sena chief and grandson of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Anadraj Ambedkar along with members of the party, Sunday, which also marked two months of the Save Aarey protest joined the agitation.

Speaking to HW News Anandraj Ambedkar said, “We have to take into confidence our Adivasi and Dalit brothers, they all are citizens of this country,” he said.

Mr. Ambedkar further said “As much as the country belongs to Tata, Birla, Narendra Modi or Fadnavis it equally belongs to our Adivasi and Dalit brothers.

When HW News spoke to one of the protestors about what has changed in two months they said, “There is not much difference, what happened in 2019 is repeating, activists are detained, they said.

The save Aarey activist further said, “Attempts to suppress the truth and democracy are in process, the land mafia is very powerful.”

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has scheduled to hear the matter of felling Aarey trees on Wednesday, the bench headed by Justice UU Lalit, who is all set to take oath as India’s new CJI on Saturday.
