“Results Indicate That SP Lacks Intellectual Integrity”:Asaduddin Owaisi Targets Akhilesh Yadav Over UP Bypolls

Asaduddin Owaisi stated that the Samajwadi Party lacked intellectual honesty and was unable to overcome the BJP in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), stated on Sunday that the results of the Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-elections in Uttar Pradesh plainly demonstrate that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is unable to overcome the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Results of the UP by-election demonstrate that the Samajwadi Party lacks intellectual integrity and is unable to overcome the BJP. Voting for such inept parties shouldn’t be done by the minority group. Who is accountable for the BJP’s victory, and who will be the B-team, C-team, etc,” told ANI, Asaduddin Owaisi.

He further attributed SP leader Akhilesh Yadav’s defeat in the Rampur and Azamgarh by-elections to him. “Because of his haughtiness, Akhilesh Yadav did not even pay people a visit. I would urge the nation’s Muslims to create a unique political identity,” AIMIM’s director stated.

The ruling BJP won both the Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha seats in the by-elections held in Uttar Pradesh. In the Rampur seat, BJP candidate Ghanshyam Singh Lodhi defeated Samajwadi Party candidate Mohammad Asim Raja, and in the Azamgarh constituency, BJP candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua triumphed. Guddu Jamali, a candidate for the Bahujan Samaj Party in Azamgarh, put up a valiant battle and finished third. Both were regarded as strongholds of the Samajwadi Party.

The resignations of Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan from the seats of Azamgarh and Rampur, respectively, forced the need for the by-elections. Following their election to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the early-year elections, both leaders resigned as members of the Lok Sabha.

The by-election victories in Azamgarh and Rampur, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are historic. According to PM Modi, a tweet shows widespread acceptance and support for the dual-engine governments in Uttar Pradesh and at the federal level. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the support of the people. He also commended the work done by the Uttar Pradesh BJP Karyakartas.

The victory in the by-elections, according to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has conveyed a positive message about the 2024 General Elections.

“By-election victories have given the general elections in 2024 a positive message. People have demonstrated their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s double-engine administration. Casteist and communalist elements, known as “parivarvadis,” have received a clear message from the populace,” declared Adityanath.
