Senior Congress Members To Skip Lok Sabha Elections, Endorse Youth: Reports

Reports indicate that senior Congress leaders from various states are expected to refrain from contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.  Former chief ministers Ashok Gehlot, Kamal Nath, Digvijaya Singh, Harish Rawat, and former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot were absent from the partyโ€™s Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting list. These veterans purportedly expressed disinterest in contesting and instead suggested other party membersโ€™ names for candidacy.
