Severe Heatwave In Delhi, North India, Madhya Pradesh

Temperatures in Delhi exceeded 47°C on Monday, prompting the weather department to forecast severe heatwave conditions in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west and east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, and isolated areas of west Madhya Pradesh until Friday. Heatwaves are also expected in east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch until May 24.

Gujarat: Speeding Truck Rams Bus, Killing 6 On Expressway

Six people were killed and over six injured when a speeding truck hit a stationary bus on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Anand, Gujarat, early Monday. The bus had stopped roadside due to a tyre burst. Five died instantly, and one later in the hospital, including the bus driver. The deceased, three women and three men, remain unidentified. The injured are hospitalized.
