Mumbai: The NCP president Sharad Pawar attacked the Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over his remark on the role of Gujaratis and Rajasthanis in making Mumbai the financial capital. Pawar said that there was not much difference in the colour of his cap and his heart, as Koshyari, a native of Uttarakhand, is mostly seen wearing a black ‘topi’.

On Friday, speaking at a function in Andheri Koshyari said that if Gujaratis and Marwaris are removed from Maharashtra, especially from Thane and Mumbai then Mumbai won’t be the financial capital.

Speaking to the press on Saturday in Dhule, Sharad Pawar the NCP chief said, “There is not much difference in the colours of Koshyari’s cap and heart.”

Maharashtra has taken along people of all religions, castes, languages etc. Mumbai’s progress is because of the hardwork of all  the citizens. Koshyari had earlier made objectionable comments about social reformers  Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule”,he added.
