Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented an interim Vote on the Account budget for 2024-25 on Saturday with a total projected spending of ₹2.76 lakh crore. This includes ₹2.01 lakh crore for revenue expenditure and ₹29,669 crore for capital expenditure. The budget, the first by the new Congress government, allocates ₹53,196 crores for implementing the party’s six poll promises and significant funds for agriculture (₹19,746 crores) and irrigation (₹28,024 crores).
