In reaction to the beheading of a tailor in Udaipur, Ex-MP of Karnataka KS Eshwarappa stated that the killers should be sentenced to die.

Karnataka: In protest to the killing of a shopkeeper in Udaipur, defunct Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa commented, “In a democracy, these killers should be taught a lesson either through murder or the right punishment for them.”

Two men chopped off the head of a shopkeeper in Udaipur on Tuesday while it’s still open. They immediately recorded a video in which they admitted to executing the victim because of a social media post in praise of Nupur Sharma.

The two men are heard admitting to the murder and threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a another video they aired.

Commenting on the video threatening PM Modi, KS Eshwarappa said, “No nationalist will tolerate this audacious remark of threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi and still continue to live in this country.”

The former legislator added that PM Modi may claim that peace in the nation must be protected at all costs, but this does not mean protecting the peace of murderers.

The killing of a Hindu tailor in Udaipur, Rajasthan, by two men on Tuesday was documented in video that claimed they were seeking revenge for the victim’s purported endorsement of banned Bharatiya Janata Party spokeswoman Nupur Sharma on media platforms.

On Tuesday night in the Rajsamand district’s Bheem locality, the authorities arrested the two suspects. While trying to escape, the guilty were detained.

According to evidence gleaned by India Today TV, the killing was in response to a post made by the shopkeeper’s eight-year-old son promoting BJP leader Nupur Sharma. Recently, Nupur Sharma’s inflammatory remarks on the Prophet Muhammad gained notoriety.
