WhatsApp Stands Firm Against Encryption Compromise In Court Case

WhatsApp told the Delhi High Court that it wouldn’t break message encryption even if asked. They, along with Facebook (now Meta), disagreed with Rule 4(2) of the IT Rules 2021. This rule says they must reveal who sent a message if ordered by a court. Lawyer Tejas Karia said people trust WhatsApp because it keeps their messages private and encrypted from end to end.
