A video of an Auto Rickshaw driver and a passengerโs blistering exchange of words over which language to converse (Kannada or Hindi) is making rounds on the internet.
Ironically, in the 26-second clip, both were heard arguing in English. โ Why should I speak in Hindi.โ The driver says. โOkay, okay, okayโ. The passenger responds.
โThis is Karnataka. You have to speak in Kannada. You people are north Indian beggarsโ. The agitated driver says.
โWhy. We will not speak in Kannada.โ The equally angry passenger responds.
โThis is our land, not your land. You have to speak in Kannada. Why should I speak in Hindi?โ The driver says to which the passenger says โOk, Ok, Okโ
