What is Mission 167? PM Modi’s 100-day plan to transform India

All the ministries are also expected to put out performance monitoring dashboards on all major schemes to enable public access to the progress made.

 

New Delhi | With an aim to transform India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the second tenure of governance has shortlisted 167 transformative ideas which are planned to be implemented in the upcoming 100 days.

Based on the recommendation of Sectoral Group of Secretaries and after further consideration by the Group of Ministers, Cabinet Secretary Pradip Sinha has issued a communication to all secretaries in the Union government to implement these ideas in a 100 day period starting from July 5 when the Union Budget was presented. The deadline of the project ends on October 15.

Cabinet Secretary Sinha will monitor the entire progress of the plan as every secretary is been asked to submit a weekly status report of their work on every Friday at 5 pm. Sinha will also be holding weekly video conferencing with other secretaries.

All the ministries are also expected to put out performance monitoring dashboards on all major schemes to enable public access to the progress made. They will also submit a consolidation of training institutions and printing presses under every ministry.

The major ideas to be implemented in the 100 day period includes activities associated with the commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, Inauguration of three new barrack museums at the Red Fort, the Ministry of Culture is expected to ensure completion of the structure of the museum on Prime Ministers of India at Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.

While the Human Resource Development Ministry has been tasked with launching a mega drive to fill up 3,00,000 faculty vacancies across all higher education institute. The other projects include the launching of national e-services delivery assessment and a new Central Secretariat Office Manual of Office procedure.
