Ace election strategist Prashant Kishor appointed JD(U)’s national vice president

Patna | Election strategist Prashant Kishor on Tuesday was appointed the National Vice President of Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-United.

Prashant Kishor had joined JD(U) on 16 September while on October 11 he was made the member of the JDU state committee. This move by Janta Dal-United will make Prashant Kishor the number 2 in Nitish Kumar’s party. Informing media about the appointment of Kishor, JD(U) spokesperson KC Tyagi said,” Nitish Kumar has given this responsibility to Kishor based on the ability and potential of Prashant Kishor. This decision will give the party new direction and will help to reach out to the social segment out of its traditional support base.”

Kishor is credited for Narendra Modi’s landmark victory in the last 2014 Lok Sabha election. Later, he joined Nitish Kumar and helped him gain victory in the Bihar’s assembly elections. However, Kishor failed to repeat his success in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election when he joined the Samajwadi Party- Congress alliance trying to help Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi to gain victory.
