Bhusaval| Five people, including BJP leader and Councilor Ravindra Kharat (55), were killed by three assailants in Bhusaval, Maharashtra on Sunday. The attack took place outside his house around 9:30 pm. Jalgaon SP Punjabrao Ugale said that Kharat was attacked by his brother Sunil Kharat, two sons Rohit, Prem Sagar and another Gajraj. In this, two people died on the spot, while three died during treatment.

A police officer said the assailants used desi kattas and knives to kill Ravindra and his family. After the incident, all escaped from the spot, but the attackers later surrendered after reaching the marketplace police station. Police have recovered weapons used in the incident.
