“When I was functioning as a politician Balasaheb Thackeray said whoever owns more seats, owns the Chief Minister post. The same understanding still continues and everyone is following it,” Gadkari said.

“The very first day when the result announced ShivSena Chief Uddhavji said we have our options open than the alliance won’t have any meaning,” He said.

On Raut’s comment forming governments with NCP-INC, Gadkari replied, “I don’t think so in a democracy this kind of alliance exists for long. It’s a faulty decision. Sena is open to doing alliance with anyone. But the alliance BJP-Sena hold is base on Hindutva as it’s for the right of people, State and nation. And as far as I know ShivSena performance I don’t think they will go with them.”
