New Delhi | Two People’s Democratic Party MPs in a show of protest against the abrogation of Article 370 which granted the state of Jammu and Kashmir a special status on Monday.
Speaker and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu asked the marshals to take PDP’s Mir Fayaz and Nazir Ahmed Laway away from the House.
One of them attempted to tear his Kurta.
A couple of MPs even tried to tear the Constitution of India.

PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti said it is an “utter betrayal of trust”
Meanwhile, their party chief Mehbooba Mufti in a series of tweets said, “The overwhelming mandate that Modi ji got had given us hope that like a statesman he too would tread the path taken by Vajpayee ji & reach out to people of J&K. What an utter betrayal of trust”.
“Today the people of Jammu & Kashmir who reposed their faith in institutions of India like parliament & Supreme Court feel defeated & betrayed. By dismembering the state & fraudulently taking away what is rightfully & legally ours, they have further complicated the Kashmir dispute”, she added.
