“Agree with Centre on PoK but disagree with Article 370”, says Shashi Tharoor

Shashi Tharoor said that he has no differences with the government’s stand on POK but with Article 370 violation is the spirit of the constitution

Jaipur | Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Thursday has said that he agrees with the Centre on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir but disagrees with the way Article 370 was revoked.

“I don’t have any serious difference with the government’s stand on the PoK but internally I differ with the government. They have violated spirit of the Constitution. Pakistan has no right on the PoK and they have given the territory to China which does not belong to them,” said Shashi Tharoor.

Speaking at an event called’ ‘India in Crisis’ organized by the All India professional Congress, Tharoor stated that it supports the government’s stand externally, but he had internal differences with the government at opposition members.

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, who was present at the event said, “Figures suggest that unemployment is the biggest problem in the country and concrete steps should be taken to balance the macro-economic environment”.

Speaking on the current economic crisis, Sachin Pilot said,” There is a slowdown in every sector today and investors’ confidence has gone down, non-performing assists have gone up, banks are not giving loans, Jobs are not being created, factories have shut down”.
