Arvind Kejriwal to attend Kamal Haasan’s new party launch

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday is likely to attend actor Kamal Haasan‘s party launch in Madurai.

The Veteran Tamil actor will kick-start his political career with a statewide rally for his new party launch.

CM Nitish Kumar and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan are also likely to attend to support the launch.

Haasan had always found support from Kejriwal with his political interest. The latter had also advised the actor to join politics long back.

To which the CM said that the Tamil actor has a reputation and the courage to face strong forces of communalism and corruption. He continued saying, “I was happy when I learnt that there are a large number of honest people in this country who feel strongly against communalism, Kamal Haasan is a rare person like that.”

Haasan will reach Madurai on Tuesday to finalise the arrangement for his new party that will take place on Wednesday. At the launch he will announce the name of his new party and unfurl the flag. Later he will begin his rally tour to various states from Ramanathapuram before going to Madurai, Sivaganga and Dindigul.

The actor-producer turned politician has recently become critical and increased his involvement with the Tamil Nadu government which later followed by the death of former CM J Jayalalithaa. Haasan had confirmed his entry in the political world in November last year.

His co-actor Rajinikanth has also announced his political entry in December last year. The party is yet to be named.
