New Delhi | Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal’s Purulia, state chief minister Mamata Banerjee has asked Yogi to take care of his state affairs first rather than holding rallies in West Bengal.
Addressing his supporters from Metro Channel where she is holding a sit-in protest against CBI investigation against Kolkatta Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar in the Shardha chit fund case, Banerjee said,” Ask Yogi to take care of Uttar Pradesh first. So many ppl have been killed,even police were murdered,so many ppl were lynched, he himself will lose if he contests elections.” Taking a dig at the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Banerjee said,” He (Yogi Adityanath) doesn’t have a place to stand in UP that’s why he’s roaming around in Bengal.”
After being denied to land his chopper at the West Bengal’s South Dinajpur district, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today will address a public rally in Purulia district’s Bhangra More, near Nabakunja Maidan. Yogi Adityanath will first fly to the BJP governed Jharkhand and then travel to Purulia by road.
On Sunday, the UP chief minister who was to address a “Ganatantra Bachao Rally (save the republic)” at Balurghat in South Dinajpur district but didn’t make it as the state government didn’t allowed his chopper to land near the venue. Yogi Adityanath’s office alleged that the West Bengal withheld the permission “without any prior notice”. Later Adityanath addressed the rally over the phone.
