Badals running around like ‘scared rabbits with no hole to hide’: Amarinder Singh

Amarinder Singh said, “Faced by imminent defeat in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Badals were running around like scared rabbits, with no hole to hide.”

New Delhi| Hitting at Shiromani Akali Dal leaders, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that Badals are scared of their possible defeat in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls. His statement came after SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal criticised Congress’ loan waiver in the recently won states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Punjab CM said, “Faced by imminent defeat in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Badals were running around like scared rabbits, with no hole to hide.”

Calling the statement of Sukhbir Badal, a part of the theatrics, Singh also said that his opponents should not resort to it if they want to remain a serious contender in politics. Further lashing out at their criticism of loan waiver, he said that if Badals continued with their desperate efforts to cheat people, “they would be thrown into political oblivion forever by the electorate.”

He also slammed the former Deputy CM for failing farmers in the region. He said the NDA partners SAD-BJP are scared of the Congress party as it delivered its poll promise in the three states and thus are trying to mislead the farming community in the state.
