People will hit us with shoes if we don’t built Ram Temple: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai | Shiv Sena today once again raised the demand of Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya.

Shiv Sena Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Raut tweeted,”Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has 303 MPs after the results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections while the Shiv Sena has 18, what else is required for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Speaking to News Agency ANI, Raut said,” In 2014, we promised construction of the Ram temple but we did not accomplish it. The concluded election was also fought in the name of Lord Ram. Before elections, we went to Ayodhya with party chief Uddhav Thackrey ji, we have committed ourselves to the construction of the temple and I feel this time around Ram temple’s construction will start. Because if we don’t, the country will stop trusting us and hit us with shoes in anger.”

Earlier RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat 2019 Lok Sabha elections reportedly said,” Ram ka Kaam karna hai aur ram ka kaam hokar rahega.” (The work of Ram has to be done and it will happen). His statement has come in the light of speculations that Modi government in its second term may act decisively on the Ram Temple construction issue.

The Supreme Court in March appointed a panel of mediators, headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice FMI Kalifulla, and gave it eight weeks to meet all stakeholders and explore the possibility of an amicable settlement to the contentious issue.
