New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Tuesday has announced its candidates for the upcoming bye-elections in Kairana and 4 other assembly constituencies.
BJP has announced that Mriganka Singh will contest for by-elections of Kairana Parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Mriganka Singh is the eldest daughter of Hukum Singh, a seven-time BJP legislator from the Kairana seat and former Member of Parliament from Kairana.
Along with Kairana, BJP has also announced the candidature of Madhav Lal Singh from Gomia (Jharkhand), Munni Devi from Tharali (Uttarakhand), Avani Singh from Noorpur (UP) and Sujit Ghosh from Maheshtala (West Bengal) Assembly constituencies.
The Election Commission has announced that polling for 4 parliamentary and 10 Assembly constituencies in nine States will also be held on May 28. Counting of votes for all the seats will be on May 31
