“BJP is lying about rotational CM post deal”: Uddhav Thackeray slams Devendra Fadnavis

Slamming BJP, Uddhav Thackeray also alleged that the party tried to “Finish” ShivSena. When asked if the Alliance is broken, he said that BJP is not our enemy.

Mumbai| In a shocking claim, ShivSena Chief Uddhav Thackeray alleged that BJP is lying about no 50:50 deal about CM post. Uddhav Thackeray was addressing a press conference in which he minced no words.

Thackeray recalling the tenure of the government said, “We never backed down from our word in the last 5 years.” Talking of the 50:50 formula demand, he further said, “I am the son of ShivSena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. I never lie. But I am hurt that Fadnavis has accused me of lying.”

He said that during talks before Lok Sbaha elections, Amit Shah came to Maatoshree and offered us Deputy CM post. I stopped the talks because I had promised my father that there will be ShivSena Cm in Maharashtra.

Uddhav Thackeray added that BJP President Amit Shah had agreed for the equal distribution of CM post and portfolios. “The decision was informed to Devendra Fadnavis. However, he said that if we announce the decision, I will face resistance in the party,” Thackeray explained.

Slamming BJP, Thackeray also alleged that the party tried to “Finish” ShivSena. When asked if the Alliance is broken, he said that BJP is not our enemy but they should stop lying. “The ball is now in their court,” he said.

Devendra Fadnavis had slammed ShivSena for unwarranted criticism of PM Modi. Responding to it Thackeray said that the party never criticized PM Modi on a personal level. “In Haryana, they allied with Dushyant Chautala who made derogatory remarks against PM Modi and Amit Shah. Udayanraje Bhosale had also commented on PM Modi. We did not stoop to that level,” He said.

Addressing RSS, he said asked, “RSS should think if Hindutva propagates lying?” Uddhav Thackeray also said that he allied with wrong people.

Responding to the challenge given by Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav Thackeray asked, “If Fadnavis is claiming to form govt not having the majority, he should explain how will they form a government without poaching MLAs?”
