BJP MP demands house for ‘Lord Ram’ under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Lucknow | Amid controversy related to the construction of Ram Temple on the dispute Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land, a BJP MP has written to Ayodya district magistrate demanding a house for Lord Rama.

In a letter to the District Magistrate to Ayodhya, the Bhartiya Janata Party MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghosi, Hari Narayan Rajbhar has demanded a house for lord ram under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana stating that ‘he has been living in a tent.’

Earlier the same BJP MP had asked the parliament to create a special commission dedicated to deal with the grievances of “men suffering at the hands of their wives”, The commission, he said, will be called ‘purush aayog’. It will be in line with ‘mahila aayog’ (women’s commission)

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on 29 October adjourned the hearing of the decade-old Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute till January 2019. The top court bench including Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SK Kaul and Justice M Joseph has postponed the matter till January 2019 to fix the date of hearing in the Ayodhya title suit. The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said, “It will come up in the first week of January not for hearing but for deciding the date of the hearing. Hearing may be in January, February, March, whenever….also the bench by which it shall be heard will be constituted.
