BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj sparks controversy, says demolish Delhi’s Jama Masjid

Lucknow | Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Shakshi Maharaj on Friday sparked another controversy when he said that along with Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi, Hindu’s should also demolish Delhi’s Jama Masjid.

Addressing an event in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, Shakshi Maharaj said that the government should bring an ordinance before the 2019 Lok Sabha election to built Ram temple in Ayodhya similar to the temple in Somnath. Speaking on the construction of Ram Temple, the BJP MP said, “When he came into politics, his first statement in Mathura was leave Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi aside and demolish Jama Masjid in Delhi and if idols are now found below the staircase then I should be hanged. I still stand by this statement.”

He further added that During the Mughal era, the invaders played with the honour of Hindu people and demolished temples and mosques were constructed, over 3000. The BJP MP further challenged Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to clear their stand on the construction of Ram Temple.
