BJP rebel Shatrughan Sinha to join Congress today

New Delhi | Actor and rebel Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Bihar’s Patna Sahib Shatrughan Sinha is likely to be joining the Congress party today.

According to sources, Sinha who was denied the Lok Sabha ticket from Patanasahib due to his constant anti-BJP statement will be joining the Congress party under the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Sinha is also set to contest the Lok Sabha election from Patna Sahib on Congress ticket against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Sinha has been a constant critic of the Narendra Modi government at various instance and showed his support to the opposition parties stand against PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.


The Patna Sahib MP recently praised Congress president for its Minimum Income Guarantee scheme and criticised Union Minister Arun Jaitley press conference calling the scheme calling the announcement “chhal kapat”.

Polling for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will be conducted in 7 phases from 11 April to 19 May. The polling on Patna Sahib seat will be held on 19 May and with Sinha joining Congress there will be a direct contest between him and Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad
