New Delhi| As the Lok Sabha elections dates are getting closer, all eyes are set on the candidate list of the political parties. While several parties including Congress, TMC and SP-BSP have announced their candidates, BJP is yet to declare the candidate list.

In Bihar, the party may not give the ticket to Shatrughan Sinha. The sitting Member of Parliament from Patna Sahib has been critical of Prime minister Narendra Modi for last four years. He had also attended the Opposition unity rally in Delhi organized by the Aam Admi Party.

Reportedly, the BJP is considering to field Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib instead. According to party insiders, his name was discussed at the BJP central election committee meeting headed by party chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In Bihar, BJP is contesting the Lok Sabha election in alliance with Nitish Kumar led JD(U) and Ram Vilas Paswan led LJP. There are total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. While BJP and JD(U) will contest on 17 seats each, LJP will contest on six seats.
