BJP Used Taxpayers Money For Boosting PM Modi’s Image Alleges Congress

Congress

Congress tweeted, “The so-called governance model of the Modi government benefits his businessman friends while keeping the public in the dark”

New Delhi: Bharat Jodo Yatra is in its last leg in Jammu and Kashmir, and with this Congress today revealed the details of its next mass contact programme of ‘Hath se Hath Jodo Yatra’. Along with the details of it’s new campaign, Congress also released a “chargesheet” against the ruling party.

Slamming BJP, Congress tweeted, “The so-called governance model of the Modi government benefits his businessman friends while keeping the public in the dark. In 9 years, Indians have witnessed Jumlas, broken promises, escalating communal tension, record unemployment & zero accountability! (sic).”

Along with this Congress alleged that BJP used taxpayers money for boosting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image. It alleged that Union Home Minister’s son (Jay Shah) runs Indian Cricket, while Agniveers are told to become Security Guards.

The grand old party also slammed BJP over high unemployment rate despite of lakhs of government job posts being vacant in the country.

Congress twisted some of the BJP slogans in it’s chargesheet to elaborate its allegations. “Sabka saath, sabka vikaas (Development while taking everyone along in the way)”, was twisted with “Kuch ka sath (only supporting a few)”, “Kuch ka vikas (development of select few)” and “Sabke Sath Vishwasghaat” (deception with everyone).”

Taking a swipe at PM Modi Congress said that “Modi flew to Delhi to take oath in a businessman’s private jet whose wealth grew 50 times since 2014”. It further added that 64 % of India’s wealth is owned by top 10 % of the country’s richest men.

Speaking of loan waiver the party also alleged that loans worth 72,000 crores of “Modi’s friends were waived off” while not a single loan of farmers was waived off.

Speaking of India-China border tensions, the party claimed that Beijing “captured 20,000 sq km of land while PM said “koi ghusa nahi.”

Regarding foreign rankings, including the Hunger Index, Press Freedom, and Democracy Index, among others, Congress also took shots at the governing party.
