BJP is not afraid of FIRs: Amit Shah

New Delhi | BJP Chief Amit Shah referring to the FIR filed by the TMC against him, asked that does (Mamata) Didi not know that BJP is not afraid of FIRs.

Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters in New Delhi, the Chief said,” I just got the news that Didi has filed FIR against me, does she not know? BJP is not afraid of FIRs”.

Hours after the clash between TMC and BJP workers in Kolkata during Amit Shah’s roadshow, the parties are carrying out all the measures to pin the blame on each other.

Speaking about the vandalised statue of the 19th-century philosopher Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, he said,” TMC workers damaged Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar’s bust to gain sympathy. This is their conspiracy. They are trying to get sympathy from the people. But people can see through it. TMC’s days in Bengal is over”.

He also accused the Election Commission of being a “mute spectator” in Bengal.

“The polls are taking place in every state of India, then why violence always and only takes place in Bengal? Because TMC is there. Mamata didi acts so innocently as she asks why the violence, but its the TMC doing. They are saying the motorcycle that was set on fire was ours if its BJPs’ why will we burn our own motorcycle?”, he further slammed TMC chief Mamata Banerjee.

Talking about Mamata Banerjee’s remark, “Is Amit Shah god that no one can protest against him?”, he responded, “I am not God. Don’t think you are”.

“Had CRPF not been there, it would have been difficult for me to escape”, he said, praising the CRPF personnel who managed to get Shah to safety.
