Despondent with Congress for exhibiting a warm stance to the Telugu Desam Party, K Chiranjeevi, the actor-turned-politician has offered to quit the party. As per the sources, Chiranjeevi’s family told a daily that the former Union Minister expressed his disgruntlement and questioned as to how far did it go for an alliance with the TDP which is completely ‘unethical’.
It was on 1st November that Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister had a meeting with Congress President Rahul Gandhi after which it was announced that the two parties will work in collaboration with each other for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019. A source told the daily, “Chiru is upset with the decision of the Congress high command. He is yet to give his resignation, however, will decide in a couple of days”.
