Civilian killings must end in Kashmir: M Y Tarigami

“Whether a civilian is killed by the bullet from one side or the other side, it is a loss of precious human life,” Tarigami said.

Jammu| The killing of civilians in the conflict zone of Jammu and Kashmir should be stopped immediately, demanded M Y Tarigami, a leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Tarigami said the civilian killings during encounters is a cause of concern. “The unabated civilian killings in Kashmir must be a cause of concern for every right-thinking person in the state and the country,” Tarigami said. Referring to the killings of three civilians including a 14-year old girl in the recent days, he said the killings were “highly condemnable”.

He further noted that killings of civilians cannot be the solution to any problem. Whether a civilian is killed by the bullet from one side or the other side, it is a loss of precious human life,” he said.

He further targeted the political parties in the state and said that the parties involved in the conflict were deriving sadistic pleasure.
