“Complete work in 8 days or I will ask people to thrash you”: Nitin Gadkari warns RTO officers

Nitin Gadkari said that he recently warned some officials that if some matters of Public concern are not resolved, he will ask people to thrash them.

 

Nagpur| Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, often stirs up debates due to his controversial statements. In one such latest example, he has warned the officials of completing the work within deadline, otherwise he will ask people to thrash them.

He was speaking at Laghu Udyog Bharti convention (Small Enterprises Convention) in Nagpur. He was expressing his anger towards Red-Tapism. Gadkari said, “I have asked the officers to resolve the issues of people within 8 days or I will ask people to take law in hands and thrash you.”

Laghu Udyog Bharti, is an organization associated with the BJP’s parent organizsation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which works in the MSME sector. Speaking at the event, Nitin Gadkari said that he recently warned some officials that if some matters of Public concern are not resolved, he will ask people to thrash them.

He asked, ‘Why do we have this red tapism? Why do all these inspectors come and ask for bribes? I tell them to their face that they are a government servants, I have been elected by the public. I am accountable to the people. If you steal, I would say that you are a thief,” Nitin Gadkari said. He further added that he was taught by his teachers to throw out the system that does not give justice to common people.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari asked the entrepreneurs attending the convention to expand their business without any fear. He said that the officials cannot disturb the traders.
