Congress accuses BJP leader Yeddyurappa of ₹1800 crores corruption

New Delhi | Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala accused BJP Karnataka Chief BS Yeddyurappa of paying over ₹1800 crores to the central leaders.

Referring to a report of The Caravan magazine, that claimed to have obtained the diary of the BJP leader which allegedly claims the leader to be involved in corruption of over ₹1800 crores.

The report states that Yeddyurappa paid the party’s central committee, judges and advocates.

The report also states that Yeddyurappa paid top BJP politicians, including Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and veteran leaders like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Surjewala, at a press conference in New Delhi, demanded the BJP for answers and suggested that this should be the first case in the new Lokpal.

“Is it true or false? The diary with BS Yeddyurappa’s sign on it was with the Income Tax Department since 2017. If that is the case why did Modi ji and BJP not get it investigated?” Surjewala asked at his press conference.

Surjewala claimed that the entire nation should be concerned about this.

The BJP is yet to comment.
