Bengaluru | The Congress party on Monday announced its candidates for the upcoming bypolls in the state of Karnataka.
The party announced its candidate in the bye-elections for the Bellary (ST) Lok Sabha and Jamkhand Legislative Assembly in Karnataka. Congress General Secretary Mukul Wasnik announced that V.S Ugrappa will be contesting from Bellary constituency while Anand Sidha Nyamagouda will be contesting from the Jamkhand constituency.

The Bellary (ST) Lok Sabha seat became vacant after BJP leader B. Sriramulu contested from the Molkalmuru legislative seat in the 2018 Karnataka assembly election. While the seat of Jamkhand became vacant after Congress legislator Siddu Bhimappa Nyamgoud died in a road accident in May.
