New Delhi | Congress has fielded three-time Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit of Delhi from North East and Ajay Maken from New Delhi.
Congress has fielded the candidates from 6 out of 7 seats in Delhi, taking out the possibility of an alliance with Aam Admi Party(AAP).
The two were in talks for weeks but at the last minute, the talks failed over AAP’s demand for an alliance outside Delhi.
Other candidates are JP Aggarwal from Chandni Chowk, Arvinder Singh Lovely from East Delhi, Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi and Rajesh Lilothia from North West Delhi, a reserved seat.
The list comes just two days before the end of nominations for Delhi, who will go to elections on May 12, the sixth out of seven total phases.
Sheila Dikshit is currently the Congress chief of Delhi.
