After Congress’ poll debacle- Sonia Gandhi writes a letter to people of Raebareli

“The days ahead are even more difficult. But Congress will overcome every challenge with the faith of people,” Sonia Gandhi said.

The Congress party saw a brutal defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. In a state where the maximum number of lok Sabha seats are located-Uttar Pradesh, Congress could win only one seat out of 80. This lone seat is Rae bareli- a bastion of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. In the wake of Congress’ poor performance, Sonia Gandhi has now written a letter to the people of Rae Bareli. She wrote that no matter how long the fight will be, she will not go back.

Sonia Gandhi also thanked the people in her letter for ensuring her victory. Sonia further wrote, “I am like an open book. The strength and courage that you are getting from people is the real power.” After winning the Lok Sabha elections, Sonia Gandhi also congratulated the people of Rae Bareli and her party workers including SP-BSP workers.

Sonia Gandhi has written in her letter that she will also take up public responsibilities while fulfilling her private family obligations. “The days ahead are even more difficult. But Congress will overcome every challenge with the faith of people,” she said. Sonia Gandhi further said that she will follow the tradition of Congress party leader and is even ready to sacrifice everything.
