Jaipur | Congress leader and former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday said that Congress party will end the environment of intolerance created by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing a press conference in Jaipur, Scindia said, “If you look at our election process throughout the five states, Congress is very clear on what our principles are. Our principles are an environment of peace & tolerance. Environment of intolerance created by BJP will be finished by us.” He further added that the aim of Congress party is development which includes every community and society. It’s our age-old tradition which we’ll continue to abide by.

Speaking on the reports of EVM tampering in Madhya Pradesh after the completion of polls, Scindia said, “We’ve received reports that in many strongrooms CCTV & electricity were switched off for 1-2 hours. In Sagar 48 hours after polling a bus without a number plate reaches strongroom, in it there were 60-70 EVMs, this raises many questions.”

Commenting on the Ram Temple issue, the Congress leader said that the Politics shouldn’t enter religion & religion should not enter politics. Criticising the BJP over the Temple issue he said,”As far as religion of a person is concerned, it’s his personal matter…BJP has the habit to make noise&say ‘Kasam Gita ki, mandir hum wahin banaenge’ par tareekh nahi bataenge.”
