Cowards Can’t Fight Battle: Congress Amid RPN Singh’s Resignation

New Delhi: Amid Senior Congress Leader RPN Singh resigns from Congress and joins BJP, Congress attacks with sharp comments. Congress Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate conveys Priyanka Gandhi’s message and says that the battle Congress is fighting can be fought by brave hearts and not by cowards.

“The battle which Congress party is fighting can be fought only with bravery… It requires courage, strength and Priyanka Gandhi has said that coward people can’t fight it,” Congress Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate told reporters.

Priyanka Gandhi Is the face of Uttar Pradesh Elections from Congress. She is leading campaigning in Uttar Pradesh.

Since Priyanka Gandhi has taken charge, she has lost three big leaders.

Jyotiraditya Scindia was in charge of UP along with her in the 2019 national election but the next year, he quit the party and took many Madhya Pradesh MLAs with him, causing the Congress government in the state to crash.

Last year, Jitin Prasada, a prominent Brahmin face of the party in UP, quit and joined the BJP.

RPN was a prominent OBC leader from Uttar Pradesh. For BJP Singh joining the party is countering the narrative of BJP losing several OBC leaders, in past few weeks.

On Tuesday, former Union Minister RPN Singh joins Bhartiya Janta Party, at Delhi. Before joining BJP he tendered his resignation from the Congress party to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Singh was a member of Parliament in the 15th Lok Sabha from Kushinagar Constituency. He shared his resignation letter on social media. Addressing the event RPN Singh said, “I spent 32 years in one political party (Congress). But that party has not remained the same as it was before. I will work as a ‘Karyakarta’ towards fulfilling PM Modi’s dreams for India,” RPN Singh on joining Bharatiya Janata Party.

“I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress with immediate effect,” the letter stated. “I thank you for providing me an opportunity to serve the nation, its people, and the party.”
