‘PM Modi and Anil Ambani jointly carried out surgical strike on defense forces’ tweets Rahul gandhi

Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi | Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday while taking a dig at the Indo-France Rafale deal alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Reliance Defence chairman Anil Ambani carried out a combined surgical strike on the Defence forces of India.

Taking on Twitter, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi wrote, “The PM and Anil Ambani jointly carried out a One Hundred & Thirty Thousand Crore, SURGICAL STRIKE on the Indian Defence forces” He further added that “Modi Ji you dishonoured the blood of our martyred soldiers. Shame on you. You betrayed India’s soul.”

Gandhi’s response has come after a few reports emerged in the French media quoting former French President Francois Hollande that the Indian government had proposed Anil Ambani’s Reliance Defence as the India partner in the Rafale fighter jet deal and not given them a choice.

The opposition parties especially Congress have cornered the NDA government over the Rafael Deal stating irregularities in the Indo-France deal. Congress alleged that the UPA government while negotiating the procurement of the Rafale Jets had finalised the amount at Rs 526 crores while the current NDA government is procuring the aircraft at Rs 1,670 crores per aircraft.
